One on One Consultations - Puppy and Dog Training

In one on one training, we meet in person to discuss your dog’s life, behaviour, and your goals. We focus on what you do want to see. some common focus areas are:

  • Building a reliable recall

  • Confidence building and appropriate socialisation

  • Loose leash walking

  • Basic manners

  • Creating calm behaviours in distracting environments

You’ll get clear, achievable steps to work on between sessions, all tailored to your needs and goals.

Assistance Dog Training

Martine is an approved MindDog trainer and an experienced Occupational therapist, which puts her in an unique position to guide you through the process of training an assistance dog.

During psychiatric assistance dog training we work with your dog under the MindDog framework to achieve a public access certification.

Training focuses on real-life skills like remaining calm in shops, navigating public transport, and recognising your needs.

This process typically takes around 12 months and includes consistent support.

Fear-Free Vet Care and Grooming

Many Dogs experience fear, anxiety and stress associated with vet visits, follow up home care and grooming. These experiences have lasting unwanted effects that negatively impacts emotional health and behaviour and are a barrier to quality care.

We work with you to help you understand your dogs subtle communication signals snd teach you strategies to prepare your dog for vet visits, medical interventions, and general husbandry and grooming, in order to make it a positive experience for you and your dog

How it works

All services are currently offered one-on-one, so you get personalised attention from the very start.

1. Initial Assessment (60–90 mins)

We meet in person to discuss your dog’s life, behaviour, and your goals.

We focus on what you do want to see, not just what you’re struggling with.

This session sets the foundation for your training plan.

2. Custom Training Plan

You’ll get clear, achievable steps to work on between sessions, tailored to your needs.

You’ll receive written instructions and video demonstrations to help you practise.

3. Weekly or Flexible Follow-ups

We provide ongoing sessions to support your progress. Together we troubleshoot, build new skills, and celebrate wins.
